Generative AI has made it faster than ever to produce a working interface, which has led many businesses to question the value of a dedicated design phase. Another deeper limitation is that a model has no feel for the person on the other side of the screen. It does not register the frustration of someone stuck in a convoluted checkout flow, and it does not grasp the specific accessibility needs of a particular audience.
Real product value lives in the edge cases: how an app handles a dropped connection, an invalid form entry, or an intricate data model. We use tools like Figma's AI features to move quickly through the obvious groundwork, then our designers work through the harder situations deliberately, so the product behaves predictably, logically, and inclusively for the people who rely on it. As software becomes abundant, user trust turns into the strongest competitive advantage a product has, and that trust is earned through considered, intentional detail.
3. Turning Complexity Into a Competitive Advantage
That same intentionality matters most when a product has real complexity to manage. The most successful digital products make genuinely complex operations feel simple to the person using them. Strict financial regulation, multi-layered supply chains, and ageing legacy databases all sit behind that simplicity, and untangling them takes deliberate strategy.
The canvas is where that work happens in the open. In a shared Figma file, business stakeholders, product managers, and design teams can stand together and see an entire system at once. Mapping data models, customer journeys, and technical dependencies visually surfaces the opportunities and risks that a code editor or a prompt box would leave buried.
